Please don't overlook the fact that there is a small percentage of Pakistanis who do not support the military-mullah nexus against India. They want India to have upper a hand and systematically demilitarize Pakistan, so they have a chance at bringing back some semblance of democracy. The political soft power of India must support these elements and defeat Pakistani military, with or without shot being fired. Afterall it is in the interest of India to have a viable Pakistan next door, self-governing and prospering.

Pranay Kotasthane, liked your post on the India-Pak "war". As you said, there was so much news, fake news and the news "one wants to believe" flying around. Look forward to your future posts on that aspect

Pakistan still hasn't established conventional deterrence. They didn't manage to defend from incoming hits nor did they manage to pound the enemy's bases. As such, all that means is this "peace" is going to be a short lived one. PAK need to establish conventional deterrence again - Nuclear deterrence can only work for so long.

Good summarization of events. The goal for India is two fold. First, dismantle the Pakistani military, so that Pakistan can return to some form of civilian rule and democracy. The military is the root of two nation theory for their survival by the religious divide. They have hung on to power for that reason. Second, India has no choice but to take out Pakistan's nuclear assets. Pakistan has been a nation of disability. India will need help of Israel and USA to accomplish that.
